Position: Marketing Coordinator Job Description

A Place at The Table, Raleigh’s first pay what you can nonprofit café, is looking for a go getter marketing coordinator to assist with its marketing and growth objectives to be able to serve more people.

This is a 10 hour per week role that pays $18 per hour. The marketing coordinator will work under the supervision of The Executive Director.

Marketing Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

  • Help market Table by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns

    • Tracks sales data for campaigns

·       Help maximize website with updates, basic redesign, and content generation

  • Assist with event planning, videography, photography, storytelling

·       Develop and manage marketing calendar

  • Implement social media content and posts

    • Implement and manage ad spend

  • Help with marketing automation, SEO, and email marketing initiatives

  • Work with designers to ensure marketing is on brand

  • Support marketing and fundraising committee objectives

  • Make recommendations for innovative campaigns to help Table with its strategic plan

Marketing Coordinator Qualifications / Skills:

  • Direct marketing

  • Content generation

  • Project management

  • Reporting research results

  • Branding

  • Basic photography/videography skills

  • WordPress website management

  • Social Media

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in marketing or a related field. Food services marketing is a plus

  • Experience in digital marketing. Digital marketing experience within the industry is a plus

  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate

  • Solid knowledge of WordPress website and marketing analytics tools

  • Ability to track results and adjust tactics based on learnings

  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools

Position: Part Time Line Cook

 

Job summary:

A Place at the Table (APATT) is a non-profit pay what you can cafe that is located in downtown Raleigh. Our mission is to provide community and healthy food for all regardless of means. We have a welcoming and inviting space that provides an opportunity for all people to experience conversation and community while enjoying an excellent, fresh, and healthy meal.

 

The Cafe Staff will represent the values of APATT and be dedicated to the goal of bringing the community together with nutritious food. This position will perform all duties of a kitchen employee, prep, line cook, inventory, dishes, baking, etc. APATT has a team of different volunteers each day. As an employee you will work with volunteers on a regular basis. You will be required to intermittently train volunteers, answer questions, etc. To achieve this, you’ll need to be comfortable working with all types of people.

Principal duties and responsibilities for the back of the house:

●      Prepare nutritious menu items that taste great and use fresh ingredients 

●      Maintain appropriate stock and prepare orders as necessary

●      Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

●      Execute back of the house opening and closing duties

Qualifications:

●      1+ years of line cook experience

●      Scratch baking and recipe execution experience preferred

●      Servsafe certified

●      Computer literate - proficient in Excel, point of sale systems, internet and email applications

●      Experience working in nonprofit either working or volunteering preferred

 

Competencies:

●       Able to prioritize, make decisions quickly that are sound and exercise good judgementexperience

●       Able to lift up to 50lbs. up and down stairs multiple times daily

●       Able to work quickly and accurately during busy periods

●       Able to collaborate with all staff to ensure organization mission is achieved

●       Adaptable, creative, and takes initiative

●       Excellent time management skills

●       Stellar customer service skills

●       Reliable, trustworthy, and open to learning new ways of doing things
