Learn the ropes and get a great job in the hospitality industry! Short-term, non-degree culinary and baking classes are now being offered at A Place at the Table in downtown Raleigh. Get high-quality, low-cost instruction in the kitchens of Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can café. The six-to-eight week courses lead to industry certifications and are offered in the evenings, when the café is closed for customers.
To assist in the industry’s post-pandemic recovery, these courses are being offered at no cost in fall of 2021, so apply for a scholarship now!

Additional scholarship opportunities
Students who successfully complete the program and work for one year in the local hospitality industry will be eligible to receive a $3,000 “A Place at Wake Tech” scholarship to pursue a culinary arts, baking and pastry arts or hospitality management degree.
Also look for exciting individual specialty classes during the day on Mondays, featuring guest chefs and instruction on international cuisine (fee waiver and scholarship do not apply).
