Biscuits, Cinnamon Rolls, and You..
Friends,
Know what we’ve got plenty of around here? Besides biscuits and coffee and our awesome new house-made potato chips?
Questions, that’s what. Plenty of questions.
How is it almost September? What happens next? Will we go back to curbside ordering? Will we have to reschedule our fall event? Will COVID exposures close us down for a few days?
I wish I could say I had all the answers. I don’t. But ask me, “How’s Table doing?” and that? That, at least, I can answer!
Table is rocking and rolling. During the pandemic thus far, 18,000 biscuits have been ordered by many of you, 3000 cinnamon rolls have gone into your bellies, and 16,000 coffees have kept you caffeinated. More importantly, over 42,000 meals have been provided to folks who could not afford their meal and many, many hugs & air hugs have been doled out daily.
This is because of you. We would not be here without your love for Chef Andrew’s food and your desire to create beautiful community. We could not be here without your volunteer hours and love for dish washing. Thank you.
Many of you have reached out and asked how you can help with everything happening right now. I’m happy to say I’ve got answers for that too!
Our fall fundraiser a little over a month away! Y’all, it is a blast. We have the best sponsors around, the most incredible food and drink, and--as always--some killer auction items. If you are free October 7th and want to support the cafe, we’d love to see you there. Here’s where to purchase tickets and browse auction items. The event is outside, so we are hoping we can still safely gather and have a fun night. But if COVID makes that impossible, we’ll of course refund any purchased tickets.
If you cannot attend or want to support in a different way, we have a generous matching donor who has given her latest stimulus check to the cafe. Her hope is that others who may not need this check will be encouraged to give. If you are interested in hearing more and/or want to contribute, we would be honored.
Come and see us! We love seeing your beautiful masked faces (smi-zing is truly a thing) grabbing a coffee to go and/or bringing your loved ones in for a meal. We’ve been lucky to have such a large space inside and outside to spread out!
As I mentioned above, your love of the cafe, our team, and our mission is why Table is thriving.
Thank you for being our cheerleaders and friends. We love you.
Hugs,
Maggie
