Spring, Cinnamon Rolls, and You

Yall, how is it already mid-February? How has it been almost a year since the start of this global pandemic? Some days feel eternally long, and some days fly by in a blur, exactly like the day before. Either way, it's been too long. Am I right?

But here’s something: even in a world that’s currently on its head, there is good news. Spring is around the corner.  We’ve got cinnamon rolls in the oven.  And here at Table, we’re still doing our thing, with so much to be thankful for:

  • We have provided over 36,000 meals to folks in our community who need food.

  • Our community has enjoyed / devoured / downed / stress-eaten over 14,000 biscuits.

  • We hired a new Cafe Manager. Welcome, Alli!

  • We have several new, amazing staff members making the cafe rock and roll daily: Tracey, Allison, Sam, Heather, and Samantha. Not to mention, our incredible team who has been here for the long haul with us!

  • We have partnered with over 15 community nonprofits and are providing meals for their families and awesome friends.

  • We are dreaming of what is to come for the cafe and excited about the possibility of bringing back seating, volunteers, and longer hours later this year. Man, we miss y’all.

  • We get to see your smiling faces, curbside, 5 days a week.

But here’s the number one thing we are thankful for: YOU are in our community. You are making all these beautiful things above happen every single day. We truly could not do it without you.

Thank you, Table family. Thank you for loving us the past year and eating all the biscuits with us. You are not just the good news; you are the best news.

Airhugs,

Maggie
